About this Cause

Central High's debate team is among its oldest and most successful competitive teams, and helps students develop critical thinking, research, and public speaking skills while representing Central around the state and nation. However, laptop computers are critical to debate competition today, as the age of paper evidence and debate tubs is past. With district high schools moving to a 1:1 iPad program, Central students will no longer be able to rely on their 1:1 devices to compete. To continue the debate team's competitive success, we must raise funds to purchase new laptops! Support-A-School is a crowdfunding service offered by La Crosse Public Education Foundation. LPEF reserves 10% of each donation to cover the costs of offering the services and help maintain the sustainability of LPEF as a local school-supporting organization. For comparison, fees/tips on other popular crowdfunding platforms are often 15%. Choosing to cover the credit card processing fee is offset from the standard 10% fee.
